The role which has seen mostly international stars being cast as Mandela due to "marketing purposes of films", will see local actor Sello Motloung being the second local to star in the lead role in a production An Act of Defiance . Motloung is said to be using the facilities at the Nelson Mandela Foundation to prepare for his role as Nelson Mandela. ““There's no better place to visit for in-depth research on the man and his journey. “I wanted a source where I would immerse myself completely in the man's journey.
