The legendary Roots drummer, DJ, producer ? uestlove ( Questlove ) is in South Africa for a one night show. Born Ahmir Khalib Thompson in Philadelphia, he brought with him his friend, US producer Yameen . Although the two arrived late for the press conference, it was rather interesting hearing about their love for music and how they have established careers for other US stars such as D'Angelo , Common, Jill Scott , Musiq Soulchild and many more. For ? uestlove it all started off with one jam session, that led to a great deal of Jam Sessions, finding great musicians and giving himself a great name in music. According to him, Musiq Soulchild who was a pizza delivery boy back then, came knocking in the one of his sessions, screaming "Yo man I can sing, I can really sing" leaving ? uest saying, " Aint you the dude from the pizza house?" but giving him a chance to do his thing.
