Trevor Noah becomes second South African to make the TIME Next Generation Leaders list. PICTURE:WEB YESTERDAY TIME revealed its list of Next Generation Leaders and local comic and international television star Trevor Noah has cracked the nod. Since he’s become host of The Daily Show on US TV, it’s clear some will pay a small fortune for a tiny piece of him. In a charity drive hosted by Comedy Central Africa on Thursday night at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, an undisclosed bidder — known only as Daniel M — secured Noah’s tie for R25 000. But it is not just any old tie — it’s the Tiger of Sweden hand-made grey silk number that Noah wore on his Daily Show debut. Local stores said the average price for that tie was R1 299. By Wednesday morning, the battle had changed and an Eddy had upped the price by R1000 more than Daniel M. South Africa comedian Trevor Noah has been selected to become the next host of the Emmy ®  and Peabody ®  Award-winning “The Daily Show,” it was announced today by Comedy Central (DStv Channel 122). Noah ( www.trevornoah.com ) joined “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in 2014 as a contributor.
