Yesterday Gupta owned channel ANN7 yesterday announced that they are postponing the South African of the Year Awards which were to honour locals who have done well each year.  This was to be their third awards where names such as DJ Black Coffee, sports stars Caster Semenya and Wayde van Niekerk were some of the people the audiences of that channel could vote for. "ANN7 announces that the South African of the Year (SATY) Awards 2016 will be postponed until 2017. A new date will be announced in due course.   The postponement is due to unforeseen regulatory circumstances that have materially impacted on logistics for the event.
