WOW the Michael Jackson movie is doing amazingly well on the charts as it sweeps to number one in box office all over the world and locally. In South Africa, Michael Jackson’s This Is It grossed R 3,677,446 for the opening weekend and released at 81 cinemas around the country. The first new song by Michael Jackson to emerge since the star’s death is to be released next month by Sony Music Entertainment . The single will be called “This is It” and comes out on Oct. 12, Jackson’s official Web Site said. A two-disc album of the same title will be available internationally on Oct. 26 and North America on Oct. 27 through Sony Music Entertainment’s Columbia/Epic Label Group. The album contains music from the movie “Michael Jackson’s This is It,” which follows on Oct. 28. Jackson, 50, who died in June, sold 750 million records worldwide in his lifetime and was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, according to Sony. The film will show a rare, behind-the-scenes look of Jackson as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts that would have taken place beginning this summer in London’s O2 Arena. When the news of MJ's passing happened I was clubbing at Spotong in Melville and I was with 5FM's Poppy Ntshomgwana who happened to be at the party hosting it for her friend. As I was standing waiting to be served at the bar something in me said I must go on Twitter while I was waiting to be served. Then I see a Tweet by E!Online presenter and producer Ryan Seacrest, and many other celebs like Kim Kardashian, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Oprah and more all saying its sad the King of Pop is gone but yet the news website was not giving me anything as they were all saying he was in a coma. All this happened at 12minutes past midnight.
