GUPTAS COULD LOSE MILLIONS FOR CANNING JLO

UNLESS JLo agrees to postponement of the Gupta soiree, then the Guptas could lose the millions used to reserve the singer. Yesterday Gupta owned channel ANN7 yesterday announced that they are postponing the South African of the Year Awards which were to honour locals who have done well each year.  This was to be their third awards where names such as DJ Black Coffee, sports stars Caster Semenya and Wayde van Niekerk were some of the people the audiences of that channel could vote for. "ANN7 announces that the South African of the Year (SATY) Awards 2016 will be postponed until 2017. A new date will be announced in due course.   The postponement is due to unforeseen regulatory circumstances that have materially impacted on logistics for the event. Regretfully this has left us with no choice but to seek a new date in the near future. We look forward to confirming a rescheduled date," read the short statement. PICTURE:SUPPLIED  GUPTA owned television channel ANN7 is back with their award ceremony South African of the Year Awards (SATY), which yesterday (14/09/2016) announced the final nominations for the 2016 serving of the event.  For the awards -  which are voted for by the public -  the award offenders of the year including Black Coffee, five time SAMA award winner Nathi, television production couple Connie and Shona Ferguson and personality Bonang Matheba were also placed on the list with some interesting newbies also being recognised. Locals AKA, Black Coffee and Cassper Nyovest vying for the a BET Award.  BET Africa , part of Viacom’s African multimedia entertainment portfolio, today announced the nominations for the 2016 "BET Awards" taking place at Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, California, on Sunday 26 June, and premiering across Africa on BET (DStv channel 129) on Tuesday 28 June at 19:00 CAT. Russian Bear is the official South Africa sponsor of the BET Awards 2016. Recognising the growing international appeal of African contemporary artists, eight African artists have been honoured in the BET Awards.
