PEARL MODIADIE ADDS FASHION TO HER RESUME

TELEVISION and radio personality, Pearl Modiadie is adding fashion to her resume as she’s announced that she’ll be working on fashion reality show.

The show called Raw Silk, is set to start next Tuesday (February 7) and will showcase thirteen upcoming local designers competing in a garment making weekly race all to win the cash prize of R100 000. Almost similar to US show Project Runway, the show features three judges; designer Ole Ledimo, fashion powerhouse Yasmin Furmie and celebrity make-up artist Nthato Mashishi.

"The show is fresh, something that South African TV audiences have been waiting for. They say it's the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting and this show represents that! We get to see local designers exposed to a national audience, with a platform and a voice and I can't wait for everyone to be a part of dreams coming to life and to witness the drama that unfolds behind the scenes" said Pearl.

The NAKED ISSUE of Marie Claire always causes a stir in the country and this year's issue has proven no different. It has been criticised and bashed for being a bad thing, but I say they are doing the right thing. If it means that people have to take off their clothes to tell people to stop abuse so be it.  Besides its done rather tastefullly and classy, nothing raunchy and has Learnado Da Vinci potraitic presence in it.
