THE MUFFINZ TO PERFORM AT CAF AWARDS IN NIGERIA

South Africa’s beloved five-piece afro’lectric woke band
- The Muffinz have been invited to perform at the CAF (Confederation
of African Football) awards in Nigeria tomorrow (January 5).
With two
incredible and well-produced albums under their belt Have You Heard and Do What You Love respectively, the band has gained a burgeoning
number of adoring fans all over the African continent and the world. Some of
their popular include Umsebenzi Wendoda, Khumbulekhaya, Soundcheck, Malome Wa
Loma and Ghetto.
The popular band is made up of instrumentalists and
vocalists; Mthabisi Sibanda, Sfiso Buthelezi, Keke
Mabusela, Simphiwe Kulla and Karabo Moeketsi.
The group
has worked with some of the most sought-after names in entertainment, the likes
of legendary Zimbabwean singer Oliver Mtukudzi, poet Lebo Mashile, Josh Meck
and Moonchild Sanelly.
The Muffinz are very excited about performing at the CAF awards in Nigeria.
“We are
elated, this is an amazing opportunity for us and to also engage with our fans
in Nigeria. These are the biggest awards in African football and football is a
massive sport, followed by millions of people and it is an honor for us to be
invited to be part of such a prestigious event. The show will be broadcast live
on TV and a lot of people will get to see us do what we love, no better
feeling!” said Keke who plays the drums for the band.
The CAF Awards are taking place in Abuja, Nigeria on the
5th January. The Muffinz are currently in studio working on their
third studio album and a DVD due for release in 2017. - release from Creative Room
