Singer T-Pain is making his way here...


Just as we thought we have had our fair share of stars visiting the country., well guess what. T-pain is also adding himself to the list. Pity he will be here for something I think does not totally need American stars as the title is Magaung AFRICAN CULTURAL Festival... But that's just my taking on the whole thing!

American hip-hop and R&B star T-Pain is making his way to South Africa to perform at the Mangaung African Cultural Festival, in October.

The festival, known as Macufe, will headline the singer who is known for hits such as Buy You a Drink and Bartender.

T-Pain has featured in other hits by R Kelly, Kanye West, Chris Brown and Flo Rida, and his album, Epiphany, debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart, selling a million copies in May last year.

The 10-day festival, now in its 12th year, combines music, theatre and crafts and will also feature US gospel star Kirk Franklin and soul legends The O’Jays.

Local stars on the bill include Thandiswa Mazwai, Steve Hofmeyr and Caiphus Semenya.

Khanyi Dhlomo to wed for the 2nd time...

The gorgeous magazine editor of Destiny, Khanyi Dhlomo who also happens to be the sister to Sizwe Dhlomo, is to wed her Nigerian-American beau in December. Knowing this for about a month know, I was quiet amazed when I saw it in the paper this weekend. THE NAKED BATTLE AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

The NAKED ISSUE of Marie Claire always causes a stir in the country and this year's issue has proven no different. It has been criticised and bashed for being a bad thing, but I say they are doing the right thing. If it means that people have to take off their clothes to tell people to stop abuse so be it.  Besides its done rather tastefullly and classy, nothing raunchy and has Learnado Da Vinci potraitic presence in it. Last years issue saw Gina Athens on the cover, inside it featured the four voluptuos singing DIVAS, poet Ntsiki Mazwai and designer of Loxion Culture Sechaba, it was all there.
