There are dumb women out there...

I love Kuli Roberts for speaking her mind sometimes, cause last week I had a burning issue that was getting to me because I couldn't quite figure out what the fack to say or think after hearing a female editor of a woman's magazine said "unexpected sex is the same as rape".

I mean there we were being treated to a great event by DStv to celebrate woman's day as sisters as we were pampered to a day at the spa, great lunch and chill session of gossip over some bubbly.

The more things we shared the more I felt as if she was digging a very shallow grave for herself as she said "people are perfect, there is no such thing as cheating men, we are jealous of people's success" and alll that crap.

I recently went to the Mount Grace Hotel in Magaliesburg with some women in the media to spend a day being pampered. Pampered I defini tely was but I was drunk as well.

What shocked me was that a female magazine editor was telling all us women that the woman who accused Jacob Zuma of rape was not raped but it was “unexpected sex”.

“Sometimes when I am sleeping my husband has sex with me and that is unexpected sex,” she added while brushing her weave away from her eyes.

We were stunned by such ignorance from one so pretty.

Some of us tried to make her see sense and then I remembered my famous quote.

“Just because folk are not in a mental institution don’t make them sane.”

It is hard enough for women to report rape, so you can imagine how hard we had to stop ourselves from drowning her after her ill-informed statement.

The point is that some women are idiots. To those who are not, keep being conscious of the suffering of women of all ages. And do remember, just because somebody is an editor(ess) of a magazine does not mean they use their brain.

Sometimes it’s all about the weave and the nails and that’s why we will continue to suffer. We have a lot of hard work ahead, folks.
