Kim and Khloe Kardashian along with Reggie Bush are in SA

I know I haven't blogged in ages, but I bet you my come back will make up for all the times I have not blogged. But as you all know reality TV starlet Kim Kardashian is in the country despite all the criticism she received from people overseas, she is has braced our shores with her sister Khloe and boyfriend Reggie Bush.

And guess what she has already said something clever on twitter about her visit to South Africa and Botswana.

REALITY TV beauty Kim Kardashian landed at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo airport early yesterday morning with her sister, Khloe, and her boyfriend, US football star Reggie Bush.

The three came to the country in support of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ charity, the Diamond Empowerment Fund, which funds school bursaries for needy students.

The trio were not in the country for long. Two hours later they flew to Botswana for a short trip and a visit to other charities.

Kardashian, who stars in the E! Entertainment Channel reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians, is representing Simmons’ Africa’s Angel ambassadorship programme.

The programme was launched last year with South African-model Nicola Breytenbach as its first Angel.

Bush is representing Athletes For Africa, another of Simmons’ charities.

Kardashian tweeted up a storm about how long it took to get to South Africa from her home in Los Angeles. It took three flights in 22 hours on a journey that began on Sunday night.

She might need a few lessons in geography and politics to avoid diplomatic gaffes. She tweeted from Botswana yesterday that she was off to meet “President Moige” — the president of Botswana is Ian Khama.

“We are here in Botswana, South Africa. Wow, what a long flight. We had such an amazing welcome into South Africa. Reggie and I are off to meet President Moige. Khloe is tired. She’s gonna rest and meet up with us later,” she wrote.

She does, however, appear to be having fun.

“Just saw baby monkeys running around. We are gonna go feed them. They said they are friendly,” she tweeted.

The three are scheduled to fly back to Johannesburg today to visit the Diamond Empowerment Fund-supported Cida city campus — a university that is free to disadvantaged students — in the city. - The Times
