Forbes Celebrity Top 100

A magical team, a longtime illusionist and a cooking legend all represent Las Vegas on Forbes’ annual list of "The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities."

The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, models, chefs, athletes, authors and musicians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media presence.

MGM Grand regular David Copperfield hit the list at No. 80 after making an estimated $30 million from June 2008 to June 2009.

One of Las Vegas’ most famed chefs, Wolfgang Puck, made the list at No. 95 with $18 million.

Magic duo Penn and Teller rounded out the list at No. 96 with a combined $20 million.

Not a resident but a regular fighter in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao, was new to the list, ranking No. 57 with $40 million.

"The Celebrity 100 is a measure of power based on money and fame,” Forbes said of its report. "Fame is calculated using Web hits on Google Blog Search, TV/radio mentions on LexisNexis, overall press mentions on Factiva and the number of times a celebrity's image appeared on the cover of 25 consumer magazines."- Los Angeles Sun
