SAMA goodies are to die for...


South Africa's own Grammy's are just around the corner and rumour has it that Idols' Jody Williams will be performing at the show. Apparently rappers Slikour and Da Les will be sharing the Hip Hop stage as well. Another element is that Bonang Matheba will be presenting an award as well. But hey you didn't here it from me. Here is what the goodies bag has as written by yours truly in The Times. READ THIS:
SOUTH African Music Awards presenters and performers will receive goodie bags worth R20000.

The Times has learnt that the lucky few will receive a pair of stylish Havaianas designer flip-flops , a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic cellphone, two top Xbox 360 games, cosmetics from Kaleidoscope, Ray-B an and Vogue sunglasses and membership to Johannesburg’s trendy newly opened night club, Inc.

To toast the winnings, they get a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne.

Rapper Siyabonga “Slikour” Metane, who knew nothing about the goodie bag, said: “I appreciate the effort that the [organisers] are making — it’s not a limo or a lambo, but they sound so good, I cannot wait to perform.”

The 15th annual MTN Sama event is scheduled to take place at Sun City, North West, on May 1 and 2.

Nominees include Goldfish, former Idols winner Jody Williams and 340ml.

Khanyi Dhlomo to wed for the 2nd time...

The gorgeous magazine editor of Destiny, Khanyi Dhlomo who also happens to be the sister to Sizwe Dhlomo, is to wed her Nigerian-American beau in December. Knowing this for about a month know, I was quiet amazed when I saw it in the paper this weekend. READ this from Sunday World : It could be second time lucky for former model, magazine editor and now media mogul Khanyi Dhlomo, who is set to tie the knot with her dream man. Khanyi will walk down the aisle later this year with her hunk, Nigerian-American businessman Chinezi Chijioke. The lovebirds met at Harvard University and have been dating for over two years. THE NAKED BATTLE AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

The NAKED ISSUE of Marie Claire always causes a stir in the country and this year's issue has proven no different. It has been criticised and bashed for being a bad thing, but I say they are doing the right thing. If it means that people have to take off their clothes to tell people to stop abuse so be it.  Besides its done rather tastefullly and classy, nothing raunchy and has Learnado Da Vinci potraitic presence in it. Last years issue saw Gina Athens on the cover, inside it featured the four voluptuos singing DIVAS, poet Ntsiki Mazwai and designer of Loxion Culture Sechaba, it was all there.
