SA model Candice Boucher scores the big time with a Guess? contract...

SOUTH African model Candice Boucher has scored herself a lucrative deal as international face of Guess gear.
The 23-years-old model from Durban will now see her face all over the world for the company known for innovative style, that dresses and accessorizes the world with fashion-forward apparel, handbags, watches, shoes and more.
“The whole experience has not even settled into my head yet, its like a whirlwind of emotions I am still trying to get over,” said Boucher.
After joining her agency Outlaws Modeling Agency, manager Rod Zane Gallocher was impressed with Boucher’s shoots for the Sports Illustrated, Victoria Secret and Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazine, he sent her pictures to Guess when they were scouting for a new face.
“Guess is generally bombarded by models from all over the world, but when I sent Candice’s profile over to them, they loved her and asked her to become part of their campaign immediately,” said Gallocher.
After a call back, the billionaire company that boasts of super models such as Claudia Schiffer, Anna Nicole Smith and Naomi Campbell, jetted Boucher to Los Angeles, California for three days to start shooting with world known art director Paul Marciano and fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco.
“Arriving in LA I thought Oh my God I am in LA for the first time. I was picked up by a limo with guys that looked like the men in black, who showed me all the great studios and places.
“The next day I had to be up at 4am and shot about 18 to 25 looks a day which was exciting and nerve recking. The whole experience was sort of like a creative chaos,” said Boucher.
Boucher who started modelling at the age of 17 when she was in Matric at Gelofte High School in Durban, will now see herself on billboards and magazine spreads internationally in August, where she will also be part of a coffee table book that will showcase all the shots done by Mazzucco while she was in LA.
“I can’t disclose the money I got there but all I know for sure is that it will go into settling my house bond,” she said.
