SA Model makes it as the first black woman to be face of the billionaire cosmetics line Elizabeth Arden

SOUTH African model Lerato Moloi is the first black woman to become a face and spokesman for international billionaire cosmetics brand Elizabeth Arden.
Moloi, 27, was announced as the local face of the brand at a star-studded function that was held at Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, on Tuesday night.
General Manager of Elizabeth Arden in South Africa, Barbara Shepherd, said Moloi was a confident young woman who epitomised the brand by believing that “beauty radiates from within”.
“She not only represents the beauty element of the brand but also embodies its core values. She is an aspiring businesswoman, proud wife and mother who is passionate about educating women to look after their skin — especially in our harsh climate where UV protection is vital,” Shepherd said.
The 98-year-old company’s counts Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones as its global spokesman.
In attendance at the event were singers Loyiso Bala, Keabetswe ‘Kb’ Motsilanyane and Tasha Baxter, actresses Michelle Botes and Jenna Dover and socialite Khanyi Mbau.
A tearful Moloi was overwhelmed by the “honour”.
“This has been such a nerve wracking and overwhelming experience for me that is taking a while to sink in. Being chosen as spokesperson for Elizabeth Arden South Africa is truly an honour,” she said.
Moloi’s duties will include teaching women about skin protection and the make-up range, and appearing in advertisements and magazine spreads in South Africa.
ON THE LOW:
I wish all my people were to see this whole thing play out with the socialites there to see it all.
I mean Khanyi Mbau was posing for pics like it was her time to shine, pouting, smiling and even dancing while Loyiso was singing mind you the sister just got a hold that contact lenses are in fashion. So much for the millions, contacts are so 90s. You should have seen her arg shame I am sure she wished it was here. Shame she needs something to talk about apart from her talking about having spent R2million over the holidays, her cars and her rich hubby, she really needs to talk about something else cause the "new money" talk is really a bore now!
As for Jenna Dover, sisters stormed into the gig looking mean and angry as if she just broke up with her man. My lady stay at home if you gonna stay mad at people.
Then there was Babalwa Mneno and her baby sis, younger and fresher looking sister I must say. But I swear she was trying to make her sis a media whore like she is. Mneno Snr wore some leather looking tight leggings, she looked more like she was a biker and as for the outrageous purple tutu skirt, pink floral stockings and red shoes that her lil sis was wearing, I reserve my comment. Speaking of that I spotted Mneno on TV at the finale of the SA Tennis champs cheering away as that coloured dude won the title. Got me wondering what Miss Mneno was really doing there? Is that her knew foreign squeeze? Hmmmm
I don't know about you but I am not a Loyiso fan, yeah man is "talented" as the wit fellas say but I was bored to death when I was sitting there listening to him sing in his vai-vai voice, the same voice that his brother Zwai was warning PopStars2000 wannabes not to use when auditioning. He is so everywhere, I dubbed him the Beyonce of SA.
OMG the ladies I really adore is singer KB and MetroFM Azania Ndoro, seeing them is like a breath of fresh air, they put the C on the word classy and they surely know how to dress their tall slender bods. I think they make great role models for the young ladies out there.
I must say Lerato's baby Keo, is so cute, she has her mommy's looks.
Its official I love Elizabeth Arden, they are great event holders.
Kudos to them for choosing Lerato as their IT chick!
