J&B Met was such a hot affair!

With the pestering hot sun at the Kenilworth racecorse, I felt like I was in Joburg as most of the commoners like the schlebs were also there to share the horses fun.

Since I stayed at the same hotel- Cape Sun with most of the Jozi divas and divos like Slikour and Bonang, Bridgette and her hubby Thabiso, some of the gay clan of Jozi, The Kwela Tebza brothers, Tumisho Masha and his gorgeous girlfriend Zozi and oh the list is endless. Sometimes it was all too nauseating bumping into some of them all the time, as some forgot the politeness of greeting people, cause we all know, we all knew each other one way or another. It was a breeze though noticing that some of the irritating schlebs or as we now know them wannabes did not make it to the prestigious event as they gave me a break from faking that smile and grinning and baring their bulls**.

On the Friday night yours truly was invited to the Gavin Rajah pre-Met Cocktail Party and my must I say he has grown his portfolio to a stand still as he is now sponsored by Jaguar. OMG!

And of coarse only the selected few were invited to the 5star Apostle Hotel in Camps Bay to join in on his fun, these I speak of are Miss SA Tatum Keshwar, businesswoman Basetsane Kumalo, singer Loyiso Bala, Rugby players Percy Montgomery and Schalk Burger and some business rich people of the Mother City were there. Believe it or not but the Burger and his family were there as wine sponsors for the event, must say I loved their white wine... What a calm event a great break from the crowded hotel that almost felt like Joburg. Click on this to see the videos The Times and get what I meant...

So thee day arrived and must say I was excited to see what people would wear including moi dressed by DFC Gert Johan Cootzee and I tell you all of them thought they were hotter than the Capetonians, who were not so happy to see them. LOL!

So as I was strolling down to breakfast from my 15th floor hotel room in my sleepers and day-dress I noticed Isidingo actresses Hlubi Mboya in a purple shimmering pants and matching chiffon shirt and her bosom buddy Odelle De Wet in a white plain dress, I thought she was getting married. Didn't know they were so close, as they held hands all the way through the day.

And of coarse most of them borrowed the poor animals tails to compliment their ensembles these are the likes of Nonhle Thema who at breakfast looked like she had short hair but when I saw her later I saw hair al over her face... hmmmm... I loved the gorgeous JJ Shcoeman blue dress she sported alot!

And how could moi forget to tell the Gabivillians that Terry Pheto and Sbu Leope came to the gig together in matching House of Ole garments, hmmmm although I got to say the bronze weave the lady had was just not on point sis Terry, you looked like you've had that do for months on end. her man on the other hand looked ravishing.

OMG I got to say Bonang, looked like a drag queen, no offence but will all the heavy make-up she wore and mascara on the fake lashes topped off with a Moulin Rouge fawn tatted dress and hat, mami see a stylist asseblief tog.

My best dressed for the day has to be the ravishing Claire Mawisa who was wearing the most loveliest peach and brown long dress, her dreads neatly tired and since she is naturally beautiful, I hardly noticed her make-up. Flawless I tell you.
