Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all the followers of my blog. I celebrated it in the most happy way I know how so it was a great closure to the year 2008.

It was however rather confusing to hear how everyone tried to label the terms of 2009 in the same way they did with previous years.
Remember 2007- 200Holla seven, then it was 200gr8.
Now it is the year where we are torn between saying 2009- 200Mine as said by a Jozi radio station YFM, 200Shine as used by SABC2, 200Divine as used by Metro FM and 2000Nine Nine as per the Soweto citizens.
I like the 200Mine because I believe its the year that we are all to claim what is truly ours and what we really want.
No doubt this country will have a great year as we are a year and a half away from the 2010 Wold Cup.

Thank you for reading the blog and I wish this year will be yours as much as I plan to make it mine.

I wish 2009 will bring you King Shaka's strength, the courage of Chris Hani, the intelligence of Mandela, a wallet of Motsepe, the fame of Jacob Zuma, the success of Obama and F. W. De Klerk's guts. What about the jumble sale of Shikota's ideas?

Khanyi Dhlomo to wed for the 2nd time...

The gorgeous magazine editor of Destiny, Khanyi Dhlomo who also happens to be the sister to Sizwe Dhlomo, is to wed her Nigerian-American beau in December. Knowing this for about a month know, I was quiet amazed when I saw it in the paper this weekend. READ this from Sunday World : It could be second time lucky for former model, magazine editor and now media mogul Khanyi Dhlomo, who is set to tie the knot with her dream man. Khanyi will walk down the aisle later this year with her hunk, Nigerian-American businessman Chinezi Chijioke. The lovebirds met at Harvard University and have been dating for over two years. THE NAKED BATTLE AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

The NAKED ISSUE of Marie Claire always causes a stir in the country and this year's issue has proven no different. It has been criticised and bashed for being a bad thing, but I say they are doing the right thing. If it means that people have to take off their clothes to tell people to stop abuse so be it.  Besides its done rather tastefullly and classy, nothing raunchy and has Learnado Da Vinci potraitic presence in it. Last years issue saw Gina Athens on the cover, inside it featured the four voluptuos singing DIVAS, poet Ntsiki Mazwai and designer of Loxion Culture Sechaba, it was all there.
