Is actress Pamela Anderson broke?

Image
Pamela Anderson says she’s not bankrupt – thank you very much – and is firing back against allegations that she owes more than $1 million to contractors and back taxes. I suggest if she really is then she should sell her boobs back and earn a little ching there? But that is totally up to her?! READ: “I’m financially secure and I want to thank everyone who expressed concern for me based on these rumors,” Anderson said in a statement Monday. “I am actually touched at how much concern has been expressed for me over this. It is true that I am in a dispute with some of the contractors working on my home. This is because after paying millions of dollars to build the house I continue to get bills from the contractors.” L.A. County records show that five construction companies have filed liens for unpaid bills for remodeling work done on the star’s Malibu home, with one company claiming $674,043 alone for “labor and materials … to remodel main house, construct swimming pool, construct founda

Khloe Kardashian's wedding will happen today

Image
Life on the D-list isn't so bad for Khloe Kardashian : The rather foul mouthed reality TV "star" of Keeping Up With the Kardashians is set to make a hefty sum from her wedding to the Lakers ' Lamar Odom . Sources say OK! magazine is about to shell out $300,000 for an exclusive on the Sunday nuptials, besting lesser offers from Us Weekly and People. But Odom won't be making a dime off the deal, according to a Kardashian family insider. The source says that Khloe will pocket all the cash — with a cut going to her manager-mom, Kris, of course. The wedding will see the bride's sisters Kim, Kourtney , Kendell and Kylie as bridesmaids and the only son in the Kardashian family, Rob, will be a groomsman out of 7 others behind Odom. And the only other person besides the bride herself, have spoken of the wedding thus far is Bruce Jenner, Khloe's step-father, who will also be giving her away to Odom- who said they "didnt want a traditional wedding and t

Zola is being sued Ghetto Ruff boss Lance!

Image
It's sad to see so many artist flocking back and forth to the same recording labels that seem to be messing up their careers. I remember seeing the clip on some show where comedians Kagiso Lediga and Desmond Dube commenting on some record label bosses saying "What XXX giveth XXX shall taketh away," and man did a find some truth in that. And this is exactly what is happening in this case... as this is not the first time this recording boss in the same tangle with one of his artists... Remember the case of rapper Tuks? READ: Kwaito icon Zola is going to pay heavily for his verbal diarrhoea – if one of the recipients of his s***ty verbiage has his way. His former boss Lance Stehr of Ghetto Ruff has filed a R30m lawsuit against Zola for the disparaging utterances he made in the media about him and his company. According to a summons in possession of Sunday World, Stehr is demanding this compensation, with interest from the date of summons, for da

Mbau gets new size for her boobies

Image
I swear Sunday World is a great past time read, I found myself at work this morning working on the Monday paper and guess what, I see headline that Mbau was to enlarge her boobs more than her previous surgery. That sure did attract my eyes as I sat there wondering WTF is she doing to her body this time? Yep she is getting one more size bigger than her last surgery? call it nuts but its her body and she is entitled to do as she pleases with it. READ: Self-confessed Queen of Bling Khanyi Mbau has not only been shopping for clothes of late, she has been shopping for new boobs too. Miriah Carey stars in the film Precious, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry...

This is going to be a tear jerker of a movie and I can feel it. Titled Precious, this film is is based on a novel Push by Sapphire directed by Lee Daniels and uses the pay off line Life is short, Life is Painful, Life is Rich, Life is...Precious. The flick won the People's Choice award at the Toronto International Film festival earlier this month. And Miriah play's the role of a social worker that decides to help in a rather life traumatic situation of a young girl. It seems so sad but its a definite must see... With sheer audacity and utter authenticity, director Lee Daniels tackles and creates an unforgettable film that sets a new standard for cinema of its kind. Precious Jones (Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe) is a high-school girl with nothing working in her favor. She is pregnant with her father's child - for the second time. She can't read or write, and her schoolmates tease her for being fat. Her home life is a horror, ruled by a mother (Mo'N

Are Jeannie D and Janez together...

Image
Yesterday I had the pleasure to be invited by Jeannie D and Janez to their launch of Top Travel Season 2... In all this I kept wondering if they were together cause man, the chemistry between the two was so strong last night I wanted to know what was up. So while I was googling images of the two, the pic of them snogging came up? And I thought WTF ? In this season the two spent 6months together in luxurious places all around the world and when I saw this picture I thought, wow what a gorgeous couple they make. Dude is hot, she is sexy, I personally don't see why they shouldn't date at all?

I have to say I am such a Lira fan, this lady has sass, style and the talent to be innovative musically and has proven that all things are possible when you pick yourself up again and try again. And nos she is married about what she said: "It was private and intimate. With15 of their immediate family for a week on the holiday island. We did it this way to give thanks to our family for their love and support. We both come from close-knit families and now that our family has become larger, we have all become one very tight big family!" Springbok player Bryan Habana finally gets married privately...

Image
Okay so we all know that the Springbok player got married to his longtime sweetheart Janine. But when I got the juice on that had happened at the wedding it was a shock. Apparently Habana's father was following the media that was invited around asking to see the pictures that were taken on the spot and asked security to confiscate all cellphones and digital camera's at the wedding because they had sold the wedding broadcasting rights to You/Huisgenooit and Top Billing. Shocked at the measures that people would take just to get exclusitivity for their weddings? READ: Amid stringent security measures - including a cellphone ban - Bryan Habana and Janine Viljoen said their wedding vows at an estate in Centurion on Sunday. Viljoen arrived at the Sorex estate’s chapel in a carriage drawn by white horses. Staff from the ADT security company cordoned off part of the street outside with yellow cones and ADT vehicles to keep uninvited people away from the gate. Paralympic sprinter Oscar

Radio couple Unathi Nkayi and Thomas Msengana finally wed

Image
You might be wondering why Unathi has not been on air for days but Gabiville hears that she and her beau Thomas finally tied the knot last weekend. The couple, who have been dating for more than five years and have a son together, tied the knot in a ceremony in Grahamstown on the weekend. With no paparazzi there apparently only close friends and family were invited. So we guess You/Drum/Huisgenooit/ Top Billing definately dont have shares in this weeding at all... Wonder who was there and what everyone was wearing.... Keep glued to Gabiville, I just might get that scoop of pics once I have touched base with friends.

Elizabeth Taylor wants to be buried with Michael Jackson

Image
This is just plain old freaky... Who on earth wants to be buried with Micheal Jackson other than the women who was not interested in the memorial service in July...Elizabeth Taylor! READ: Veteran actress Elizabeth Taylor wants to be laid to rest next to Michael Jackson, it has emerged. A source told National Enquirer magazine that the 77-year-old actress, who was very close to Jackson is looking for a burial plot next to the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker at Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn cemetery. “After sitting through Michael’s funeral service at the Great Mausoleum, with its magnificent stained-glass windows and replicas of Michelangelo’s artworks, she later told friends, ‘I felt a sense of peace there that I’ ve never experienced before,’” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying. After the death of Jackson, Taylor released an emotional tribute to the singer, saying: “I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him. Celebs do it for Cancer Awareness...

Image
I think by now so many South Africans have been affected by cancer in one way or another, whether its a relative or a friend, we all know someone in our lives that has survived or died from cancer. In my case, I lost a grandfather in 1989 and a brother in 2007 from Cancer, sure seeing them suffer like that and being in such pain hurts a great deal, but we should take from our relatives and friends and get tested even if its just a little bumpy feeling you are having. I honour Marie Claire magazine for having done this campaign where they tell people about cancer and use celebs to bring up this awareness in different communities. Sure some people cannot all afford Marie Claire but if you can buy a pink ribbon in October, the month for cancer awareness, please do it. Other celebs affected by cancer: - Mark Pilgrim - he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1988. It was an aggressive form of cancer and spread to his lungs and kidneys. After months of chemotherapy he was declared to b

Phat Joe was mean to Caster and he is yet to apologise...

Image
Amidst my ignorance towards Joburg based radio staton KayaFM I read this rather interesting piece from my new found blog love " I luv SA "- interesting enough it tells of all the different stories about South Africa but this one grasped me the most as I remembered reading this article in The Star from my sick bed on Monday. But from this article comes one question? why thehell do radio stations continue to employ such ignorant men, who can continue to ridicule people who are different from others? I mean Phat Joe knew very well that Caster Semenya's story was a sensitive matter but he still said what he did. What is even more shocking is that his radio station is protecting Phat Joe meanwhile they should be forcing him to write a letter of apology to Caster and her family or even better he apologises publicly. If he doenst apologise I assue they are condoning what he said and all is dandy in that office. READ: The wonderful rainbow nation we call South Africa, has no cl

Sharlto Copley is heading to Hollywood... Whoop Whoop!

Image
Gosh its been barely a month since District 9 came out and yet its lead actor the Cape Town based Sharlto Copley is making waves abroad as he is now being considered for other leading roles in movies that I must say is great news. Maybe we gonna have another Oscar in our hands...except this time it will be in a man? Nice! Read: Variety has confirmed Blackfilm.com ’s rumour (their specialty it seems; much easier than having to dig for scoops themselves) that “District 9” star Sharlto Copley is in talks to play ‘Howling Mad Murdock’ in director Joe Carnahan’s “A-Team” movie, while adding that Jessica Biel is in talks to play the female lead. The “Powder Blue” hottie would play Faceman’s (Bradley Cooper) ex-lover, the general pursuing the team. Sharlto Copley, who claimed fame this year as in the surprise hit “District 9”, would take on the role made famous by Dwight Schultz in the popular 80s TV series. The film, starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson an

Whitney Houston's moving interview with Oprah

I cannot begin to imagine the shame, the humiliation that legendary singer Whitney Houston must have gone through in the hands of her then husband Bobby Brown, with who the singer has a 16-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina. In her latest interview with Oprah Winfrey, she revealed all the drama and shame that Brown put her through till the day she decided to walk away from him. Pity in South Africa we are only going to see this interview sometime next year, but I think it will teach several abused women a thing or two, that its not their fault and they can walk away once they see the light... Moving I tell ya... READ: Whitney Houston tells Oprah Winfrey that she stepped out from the home she shared with then-husband Bobby Brown for sugar and milk and never came back. In the second half of her big comeback interview, which aired this afternoon, Houston says she had prayed for the strength to leave the controlling Brown, with whom she has a daughter, Bobbi Kristina , and didn't k

President Obama did not say Kanye West is a "Jackass"

If you were watching the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) then you would remember, arrogant rapper and producer Kanye West did to 17-year-old Taylor Swift at the event. After the big mic grabbing drama, West's promos soared as he was most talked about on Twitter, Facebook and on international celeb gossip shows and even President Barack Obama commented on what he thought of Kanye's stunt. I dont like what he did because it was so arrogant and demeaning to the poor Swift who had to just stand there and try act like she was not humiliated... meanwhile we all know how embarrassing that must have been. READ: Officially, rapper Kanye West is not a "jackass" -- at least not as far as the White House is concerned. President Barack Obama apparently was speaking off the record Monday when he used that term to characterize the performer's stunning interruption of Taylor Swift during Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards . While Swift was accepting the award for best f
