Pity in South Africa we are only going to see this interview sometime next year, but I think it will teach several abused women a thing or two, that its not their fault and they can walk away once they see the light... Moving I tell ya...

Whitney Houston tells Oprah Winfrey that she stepped out from the home she shared with then-husband Bobby Brown for sugar and milk and never came back.
In the second half of her big comeback interview, which aired this afternoon, Houston says she had prayed for the strength to leave the controlling Brown, with whom she has a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and didn't know she was leaving until she was on her way to California.
Houston, who told Winfrey on Monday that Brown emotionally abused her, slapped her and even spit on her once, also alluded to Brown cheating on her: "He did ugly things outside the marriage ... I wasn't going to be in an unholy matrimony."
She says her daughter once complained about Brown breaking promises to her, and told her mother, "You don't deserve this, and neither do I." The experience has made her closer with Bobbi Kristina, 16, an aspiring singer. "It wasn't easy but she never let go of my hand, and I never let go of hers."
Houston, who owned up to using marijuana and rock cocaine during her tumultuous marriage, told Winfrey she's now drug-free, but that "I still have the desire for it."
Houston also performed "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," a single from her new album, "I Look To You," at the end of the hour. Her voice, already hoarse, didn't soar, but it was a powerful performance, and much better than her mini-concert from "Good Morning America" later that week. -NJ
