TERRY PHETO SIGNS TO NEW PUBLICITY MANAGEMENT

Terry Pheto signs to new publicity company. PICTURE:GABI MBELE ACTRESS and film producer Terry Pheto is the latest star to join publicity, brand and management group Brand Three Sixty Communications. Pheto who’s PR was previously done by Sheila Afari PR,  will join the likes of television and radio personality Bonang Matheba, actress Nomzamo Mbatha and musicians Anatii and ProKid in the communicatins group that also previously worked with TV star Minnie Dlamini and Idols winner Khaya Mthethwa. This was also a fact when it came to the 22 nd South African Music Awards red carpet looks for the event that took place in Durban last Saturday at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre. The stars came out in droves being shuttled into the venue to walk the red carpet for the event themed “the future is here’’ at the event hosted by the ever-so-hilarious Somizi Mhlongo and 5FM radio personality Thando Thabethe. AND THE SAFTA NOMINEES ARE...

SOAPIE Isibaya emerged as the top contender at the South African Film and TV Award nominations as it garnered over ten nominations in various categories. Cast and crew of the Mzansi Magic telenovela turned full time soapie may have their arms full with Safta gongs come 20 and 22 March. The drama received a slew of nominations including best TV soapie and nods for best actor for Bongani Gumede, best supporting actor nominations for Celeste Ntuli and Pallance Dladla. The show also scored ticks in best sound, art and costume design. Since it's inception about three years ago,  Isibaya  has proven itself a force to be reckoned with despite losing key characters in the form of Sdumo Mtshali, Nomzamo Mbatha and Pallance Dladla. Mtshali and Mbatha are set to return to the soapie. The drama has also had to face a lax storyline and stiff competition from SABC 1's new drama series,  Uzalo  in the same time slot.
