Clearly undeterred by her controversy-mired 2006 adoption of son David Banda with then-husband Guy Ritchie , officials have confirmed that Madonna is headed back to the African country to adopt a second child. A Malawi welfare department representative says Madonna has already filed adoption papers in the country and that her adoption case could go before the courts as early as Monday. The 50-year-old singer is due to arrive with David in Malawi within the next few days. "We expect her over the weekend or earlier than that…but without a doubt she is coming before the end of this month," an official from the nation's Ministry of Gender and Child Development told Reuters .

For example I was at the OR Tambo airport on Saturday noon to meet actress Malin Akerman from the movie 27 Dresses and hottie actor Tayor Kitsch from X-Men, who are in the country to act in the movie The Bang Bang Club. They were so cool despite having flown for over 20-hours from Washington to South Africa. Kitsch was more keen on talking about what he would be doing as he said "I would really love to see the country although I don't know if I will have time because my schedule is packed." Idols season four winner Jodi Williams also scooped two nominations for Best Pop Album and Best Newcomer for her debut album Just Gonna Be Me . Two-time Oscar awards winners Soweto Gospel Choir are also up as nominees for Best group category against Goldfish, 340ml, Bala Brothers and Joyous Celebration. In development for more than two years, the liquor will hit store shelves in early May in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and St. Louis. READ THIS:  US TV talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is mourning the loss of her new adopted puppy Ivan - one year after her beloved 13-year-old dog Sophie died. The media queen recently took in cocker spaniel puppies Ivan and Sadie from the PAWS Shelter in Chicago, Illinois - and even introduced Sadie to her viewers on the 6 March (09) episode of her daytime series. But Winfrey lost Ivan last Wednesday (11Mar09) after the pooches both came down with parvovirus, a virus common to dogs which is fatal in nearly 80 per cent of cases. Now Sadie is being treated by animal specialists in a bid to cure her of the canine disease, reports the New York Post. The star says in a statement: “I’m saddened by his passing, though we had him for only a weekend. I remain hopeful that Sadie will pull through.” Winfrey’s cocker spaniel Sophie died in March 2008 of kidney failure.
