SINGER KARYN WHITE IS RETURNING TO SOUTH AFRICA
NINETIES R&B singer Karyn White is coming to South Africa next month.
The 51-year-old singer who blew to fame in 1989 when she released popular hit Superwoman is set to perform in Pretoria on March 4, making it her second visit to the country since performing at the Macufe African Cultural Festival in Bloemfontein last October.
She is celebrating 25 years of music, which also comprises of hits such as I`d Rather
Be Alone, Can I Stay With You and One Heart which she is set to revive at her international summer tour to South Africa. Her show will feature supporting acts of DJs Ismail Abrahams, Amon Mokoena, Paul Mtirara, Bambo Johnson, Tazzman, DJ Sumbody and some comedy from Peter Mashata.
“I am looking forward to performing
in front of people and fans who have bought my music and supported my career over
these many years.
"This is my second visit to South Africa in a space of
few months apart and I'm really excited," she said.
The xompany responsible for bringing White is Comfort Connexions, who's founder Comfort Moepi said:
“This
concert guarantees a night of authentic R&B music filled with romantic love
songs which will take you back to the 80s and 90s, seeing that Pretoria
hardly has any international shows coming to the city, we hope that this is a
first of many more to come".
