LUNDI'S FAMILY REQUESTING PRAYERS FROM SOUTH AFRICANS

THE FAMILY of gospel star Lundi Tyamara and his management team are requesting South Africans to assist in praying for the hospitalised singer.
The statement released by HM Entertainment's Anele Nhlazo, cites that the Mnik'udumo singer has been in admitted for the past "four weeks at a Johannesburg health facility as he fights off stomach TB and a
liver condition".
"We appreciate the hardwork and the care
that the nursing and medical staff at the hospital has been putting in for his recovery.
"We are also thankful for the outpouring of
support from all quarters of the South African society and our neighbouring
countries," reads the statement.
This comes after on Tuesday Economic Freedom Fighter leader Julius Malema also called for locals to pray for the singer on Twitter. Malema, who shared a snap of himself with Tyamara wrote: "We call on all to join in prayer and intercede for
his speedy recovery. In
the same way that Lundi Tyamara's music has carries millions of us through
difficult times‚ we call on all to also carry him in this difficult time.
"He
is a great gift to gospel music in this country and we believe he still has
more to give. "Let us indeed join in prayer: #LetsPrayForLundi," wrote Malema.
Nhlazo in the statement added that they were asking Tyamara's fans, supporters, followers,
well-wishers and the general public to keep praying for his healing as "his
condition remains worryingly critical. As believers we know that through God's
intervention he will overcome these illnesses".
"We are not giving up on
Lundi. We believe that through God's grace he will pull through. He may not be
doing well right now, but he is a fighter," said Nhlazo.
