GLOBAL superstar and multi-award winning singer Justin
Bieber has added South Africa to his Purpose World Tour and is expected to
return in May next year for only two shows.
The 22-year-old is set to perform two shows in
Johannesburg ’s FNB Stadium on Sunday (May 14)
before taking to Cape Town ’s
Satdium on Wednesday (May 17).
This will not be a first South African visit for the Sorry singer after he first sneaked into SA on a private visit in 2010. He was said to have gone on a game drive before jetting to Cape Town and also reportedly bumped into local Afrikaans singer Kurt Darren back then.

Bieber then returned in 2013 for his sold out
concerts which saw teens across the country bunking school just for a chance
to see Bieber. Schools at the time didn’t support this move but parents were
adamant they would give their children a time of their lives watching the Baby singer performing live.

In a statement from Big Concerts, parents were
warned that: “All fans attending the concerts that are
younger than 14 years must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. There is
also an age restriction on field standing tickets (Front Zone Standing
East/West and General Admission East/West) – no one under 12 years and shorter
than 1.2 metres will be permitted onto the field”.
He’s made
worldwide sales in excess of 100 million units dominating pop culture and
social media. With 3.1 million sales worldwide for his latest album Purpose, Justin Bieber’s current global
tour has smashed box office records with hit singles including What Do you Mean, Sorry and Love Yourself
which all peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 200 making Bieber the first
male artist in almost a decade to have three number ones from an album.
