JUSTIN BIEBER BACK IN SA IN MAY NEXT YEAR

Bieber is coming back to South Africa. PICTURE: SUPPLIED GLOBAL superstar and multi-award winning singer Justin Bieber has added South Africa to his Purpose World Tour and is expected to return in May next year for only two shows. The 22-year-old is set to perform two shows in Johannesburg ’s FNB Stadium on Sunday (May 14) before taking to Cape Town ’s Satdium on Wednesday (May 17). This will not be a first South African visit for the Sorry singer after he first sneaked into SA on a private visit in 2010. He was said to have gone on a game drive before jetting to Cape Town and also reportedly bumped into local Afrikaans singer Kurt Darren back then. PICTURE: SUPPLIED SINGER Simphiwe Dana has just been inducted into one of the most-coveted lists as she’s been named the 2016 Woman of the Year by the internationally acclaimed magazine New African Woman . “Apart from being a phenomenal artist, Simphiwe use her public platform to address socio-political ills and renders a voice to the voiceless. When a South African university protest demanding free education turned violent in the face of police resistance, she joined their cause without any hesitation and spoke out,” writes New Africa Woman magazine. BEYONCE LEADS THE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

Beyonce leads the Grammy Awards nominations list. PICTURE: Billboard Beyoncé   leads this year's field of Grammy hopefuls with nine nominations, with   Drake ,   Rihanna   and   Kanye West   each garnering eight nods apiece. The awards show will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on February 12th. In the prestigious Album of the Year category, Beyoncé's   Lemonade ,   Rolling Stone 's Best Album of 2016 , will face off against   Adele 's   25 , Drake's   Views ,   Justin Bieber 's   Purpose   and   Sturgill Simpson 's   A Sailor's Guide to Earth . Although   25   and   Purpose   were released in 2015, they arrived after the cut-off for this year's ceremony and thus became eligible for the 2017 awards.
