CELEBS, OLIVES, CHOCOLATE AND THE OPEL MOKKA X

Opel’s  funky  and  trendy  MOKKA  X  compact  SUV  gets  a  pre-Christmas makeover – and  it  is  the  ideal  stocking-filler  for  the  young  at  heart  who  want  the  solid quality and precision of a German-engineered car in a compact package. 

This  last  weekend  saw  local  celebrities  being  flown  to  Cape  Town  where,  after  landing, they  were  whisked  away  to  the  Meerendal  Wine  Estate  for the  launch  of  the  revamped Opel  MOKKA  X. It  was  a  star-studded  event  with  some  of  South  Africa’s  finest  including songstress Kelly Khumalo, Amanda Black, Miss Pru DJ, Siphesihle Vazi, Muvhango actor Zweli Dube, and 7de Laan actors Andre Lotter and David Rees to mention a few.

Upon  arrival,  the  stars  were  welcomed  by  the  Opel  team  and  introduced  to  the  cool features  of  the  new  MOKKA  X.
“The  MOKKA  X  is  the  best-connected  vehicle  in  this segment.  Its  IntelliLink  infotainment  system  brings  the  connected  world  of  smartphones and  apps  into  the  MOKKA  X. The  system  is  fully  compatible  with  all  Android  and  Apple devices  as  well  as  allowing  for  phone  projection  via  the  Android  auto  app  and  Apple CarPlay”,  said  Xoliswa  Ndungane,  General  Manager  Marketing  &  Customer  Experience, GM South Africa. 
After test driving the vehicle, Miss Pru DJ said “I love the features, I love the fact that you can  just  connect  your  phone  with  the  car  and  I  really  love  that  you  don’t  have  to  read messages whilst driving as the car can read them for you, that’s really safe.”

A  key  highlight  and  the  most  obvious  change  is  the  move  to  new  headlight  clusters  that combine daytime running lamps with LED technology.Opel is a leader in this field, and the MOKKA  X  takes  advantage  of  this  to  provide  consumers  with  a  dusk-to-dawn  safety advantage and 24-hour illumination.  Interior trim is revised too. The Enjoy model is dressed in Milano Jet Black upholstery, the Cosmo  in  Jasmin  Jet  Black.  Dashboard  architecture  from  the new  Astra  has  also  been seamlessly integrated, for a more modern look and feel, along with improved ergonomics.
“This car was made for me because I can just picture myself with my two kids Christian and Thingo  in  it,  it’s  a  really  comfortable  drive  and  totally  love  the  safety  features,” said  Kelly Khumalo.  



This  was  no  ordinary  car  launch  as  guests  drove  the  MOKKA X  from  one  experience  to another  with  various  fun  activities  such  as  chocolate, olive  and  cheese  tasting  along  the beautiful  Cape Winelands. The  day  ended  at  Spier  Wine Estate  with  a  wine  tasting  and dinner  where  guests  got  to  unwind  and  take  in  the  beautiful  scenery  of  the  Cape Winelands.
Speaking on his experience about the day Andre Lotter who plays Rickus Welman on 7de Laan “The MOKKA X Launch was an amazing experience, I really enjoyed each and every moment. I have never driven an SUV but the drive was smooth, I loved the cruise control, its a beautiful car, really sexy, I might get my wife one”

Joost tape is out for all to see...

THE Joost van der Westhuizen sex tape saga descended into a tabloid frenzy last month as Heat magazine screened a grainy video purporting to show the former Springbok captain in compromising positions.  The 29-minute tape, which was shown to journalists, showed a man who bore some resemblance to Van der Westhuizen frolicking with what heat magazine described as a “vindictive young lady” wearing two G-strings “in the stripper tradition”.  It claimed that the video proved conclusively that Van der Westhuizen had cheated on his wife, singer Amore Vittone. But the magazine did not identify the woman and provided little corroborating evidence in the accompanying story. Twelve print, radio and television journalists watched the man, whom Van der Westhuizen strongly denies is him, arousing himself, running his hands over the woman’s body, and using a sex toy. Khanyi Dhlomo to wed for the 2nd time...

The gorgeous magazine editor of Destiny, Khanyi Dhlomo who also happens to be the sister to Sizwe Dhlomo, is to wed her Nigerian-American beau in December.
