Akon meets SA's President Jacob Zuma

I am starting to feel like our president Jacob Zuma is going to be the next Madiba, I mean there was Akon, yes Akon from the hit Lonely,wanting to meet the man just to welcome him as a president.

R&B singer Akon was granted his wish to meet President Jacob Zuma yesterday.
“It’s a pity that he couldn’t teach me any singing because I can sing on my own,” joked Zuma, who is known for his rendition of Umshini Wami.
The Senegalese-born singer arrived from the US on Wednesday to launch his clothing label here. When he expressed a desire to meet South Africa’s No1 citizen, Zuma’s spokesman, Zizi Kodwa, arranged the brief get-together.
Akon said Zuma was one of the reasons he had come to South Africa: “I want to meet him to [formally introduce myself] as an African artist with the same voice that he has.”
He said he would encourage other singers to visit South Africa.
Yesterday, Akon arrived at Zuma’s home in Forest Town in a black BMW X5 with an entourage of six, dressed for the occasion in a shiny grey suit with matching tie, white shirt and smart black shoes.
One of Zuma’s daughter, Phumzile, was excited to meet the singer and grabbed the opportunity to pose for pictures with him.
After a 30-minute wait, the singer was welcomed inside by Zuma.
The president said: “This was a courtesy call, which I appreciate. I am very happy that my big brother came to say hello, and I appreciate that he is going to Angola after this, which is wonderful.”
A clearly delighted Akon said: “I am very honoured to meet the man, as I just came to say hello. Entertainment and politics go hand in hand. They can both reach out and influence a lot of people.”
