We will host Miss World again next year...

As most of you, must have read my story in The Times on Monday.
Its out there and it will be a tale that we can boast to all other countries that we will host the 59th Miss World again next year. Great news, are just showering this country, as we head to the 2010 World Cup as well.

This weekend I must say was a brilliant weekend as I got a chance to meet Wyclef Jean, Maroon5, One Republic and ?uestlove and head to their concerts as well.

Then to make my Sunday morning even better, I hear that we are hosting Miss World as well.

Rumour has it that people of SA are not so churfed at the fact that this year the international pegeant boasted of UK artists and only had SAns as dancers...
I mean we have loads of great singers and performers in this country and in order for us to shine we must boast our artists as well. Bummer....
Well since Joburg Tourism will have 12months to plan as opposed to the last minute planning of 3months, I hope they show off our stars next time and make Miss World proudly SAn.
Can't wait to see what 2009 Miss World will be like.

Joost tape is out for all to see...

THE Joost van der Westhuizen sex tape saga descended into a tabloid frenzy last month as Heat magazine screened a grainy video purporting to show the former Springbok captain in compromising positions.  The 29-minute tape, which was shown to journalists, showed a man who bore some resemblance to Van der Westhuizen frolicking with what heat magazine described as a “vindictive young lady” wearing two G-strings “in the stripper tradition”.  It claimed that the video proved conclusively that Van der Westhuizen had cheated on his wife, singer Amore Vittone. But the magazine did not identify the woman and provided little corroborating evidence in the accompanying story. Twelve print, radio and television journalists watched the man, whom Van der Westhuizen strongly denies is him, arousing himself, running his hands over the woman’s body, and using a sex toy. Khanyi Dhlomo to wed for the 2nd time...

The gorgeous magazine editor of Destiny, Khanyi Dhlomo who also happens to be the sister to Sizwe Dhlomo, is to wed her Nigerian-American beau in December. Knowing this for about a month know, I was quiet amazed when I saw it in the paper this weekend. READ this from Sunday World : It could be second time lucky for former model, magazine editor and now media mogul Khanyi Dhlomo, who is set to tie the knot with her dream man. Khanyi will walk down the aisle later this year with her hunk, Nigerian-American businessman Chinezi Chijioke. The lovebirds met at Harvard University and have been dating for over two years. Khanyi earned an MBA at Harvard Business School and last year launched her new magazine Destiny – a high-end businesswomen’s publication.
