South Africa is about to find out in the latest TV series to cash in on viewers' voyeuristic addiction to watching strangers take their vows. Wedding Bashers , which will hit MNet screens in September, will see a celebrity panel attending and critiquing various weddings - from the dress to the flowers and the venue. On the panel are former Miss South Africa Cindy Nell-Roberts, party girl Denise Zimba, celebrity chef Siba Mtongana and wedding planner Zavion Kotze, who will attend 24 nuptials in search of “the wedding of the season”. They are ready to attend your wedding. TERRY PHETO UP FOR ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL AWARD

Actress Terry Pheto scores another international nomination. PICTURE: GABPOSTSA LOCAL actress Terry Pheto has scored yet another international nomination for her role in A United Kingdom this time for the National Film Academy Awards UK. This comes after her nomination at the British  Independent  Film Awards just last month. And this time t he 35-year-old actress who is cast as Naledi Khama in the love story about Botswana's first president Seretse Khama and his wife Ruth Williams, is up for Best Supporting actress battling against names such as  Avin Manshadi,  Gemma Arterton,  Naomie Harris,  Shana Swash,  Joanna Lumley and  Alma Jodorowsky. Leading actress,   Catherine Zeta Jones   who recently starred as Rose Winters in Dad’s Army joins fellow stars   Joan Collins , Kelsey Grammer , Hugh Grant , Julie Andrews , Pierce Brosnan , Simon Pegg, John Cleese, Jude Law and James Nesbit   as they go head to head in the Global Contribution to Motion Picture category.

‘SHEPHERDS AND BUTCHERS’ TO BE RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES

The film will be released in the US on various formats, including Digital HD on 24 January 2017, followed by the DVD release on 31 January.  Produced by Singh and Brian Cox (who also wrote the screenplay), the movie is helmed by multiple award winning director, Oliver Schmitz - who's worked on Mapantsula  and  Life, Above All . The film sees Academy Award® nominee, Steve Coogan Philomena as defence attorney, John Weber, while Andrea Riseborough Birdman plays prosecutor, Kathleen Marais.  Shining in his role as a 19-year-old death row prison warder is the rising star of the South African film industry, Garion Dowds. VIOLA DAVIS MAKES HISTORY WITH THE OSCARS

LUNDI'S FAMILY REQUESTING PRAYERS FROM SOUTH AFRICANS

Gospel singer Lundi's family ask South Africans to help them pray for the ailing singer. PICTURE:DRUM THE FAMILY of gospel star Lundi Tyamara and his management team are requesting South Africans to assist in praying for the hospitalised singer.  The statement released by HM Entertainment's Anele Nhlazo, cites that the Mnik'udumo singer has been in admitted for the past  "four weeks at a Johannesburg health facility as he fights off stomach TB and a liver condition". "We appreciate the hardwork and the care that the nursing and medical staff at the hospital has been putting in for his recovery. "We are also thankful for the outpouring of support from all quarters of the South African society and our neighbouring countries," reads the statement.  This comes after on Tuesday Economic Freedom Fighter leader Julius Malema also called for locals to pray for the singer on Twitter.
