BOMBSHELTER BEAST AT THE ORBIT TONIGHT

TWO weeks ago I penned an article about Pitch Black Afro making a return in music. The 40-year-old rapper born Thulani Ngcobo has been out of the mainstream game for some time but is working on his return in the industry which he plans for sometime this year. At the moment he is currently performing with a 12-piece band called  Bombshelter Beast, which is dubbed the " country’s most colourful and inventive musicians". It features the platinum-selling rapper  Pitch Black Afro,  polyglot Pule, story-telling by songbird Dionne Song are joined by some of the best instrumentalists in the business and also has a sousaphone, banjo, horns and rhythm section make up the bones of the group and guest artists. THE WEEKND DOMINATES 2016 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATIONS

MILLER MOBLEY The Weeknd  could have a big weekend at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. The Canadian hitmaker is a finalist 19 times in 16 categories. Justin Bieber   follows The Weeknd -- he's a finalist 12 times, in 11 categories.   Drake   and   Fetty Wap   are both finalists 11 times, in 10 categories.   Taylor Swift   and   Adele   are both finalists for 8 awards. Ludacris   and   Ciara   will host the 2016 Billboard Music Awards at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 22. Meanwhile the pair  announced  the nominees yesterday and  Ciara certainly made sure her message was loud and clear when she refused to read out her ex-lover Future's name as she announced the nominees for the top rap artist category for the Billboard Music Awards . KGOMOTSO CHRISTOPHER SAYS GOODBYE TO ISIDINGO

AND its farewell to Isidingo for actress Kgomotso Christopher. PICTURE: SUPPLIED ACTRESS Kgomotso Christopher  announced that she would be leaving Isidingo , SABC3’s signature daily drama series. As one of the prime-time show’s leading actors her exit from the award-winning programme comes at a time when  Christopher is keen to explore new acting roles and opportunities. In her role as Katlego Sibeko, Christopher has been one of show’s anchors, adding to the series’ sustained success  over the years.  Said Endemol Shine CEO, Sivan Pillay: “We will miss and thank her for the pivotal and positive part she’s played. “Kgomotso’s talent, grace, charm and absolute professionalism will be missed by cast, crew and fans alike.” Christopher’s final performance will air on the 13th April 2016 and, in trademark Isidingo style, viewers can look forward  to some riveting television, as only it and its stellar cast can deliver. Isidingo airs Monday to Friday at 7:00pm on SAB
