Kim Kardashian says she will never forget SA
Believe it or not Kim loved being in SA all for the right reasons.
REALITY TV star Kim Kardashian dined with local celebrities, played with lion cubs and fitted in some clubbing while in Johannesburg.
No wonder the sexy American said she would “definitely come back to South Africa” if she had a chance.
Kardashian visited South Africa and Botswana last week with her boyfriend, US football player Reggie Bush, and her sister, Khloe, to support hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ charity, the Diamond Empowerment Fund.
Bush’s friend, National Football League star Ray Crockett, accompanied them.
The group stayed at the Melrose Arch Hotel, which Crockett said took him by surprise.
“I was amazed at what the place looked like because, on TV, they show South Africa as a poor country that has starving children and nothing pretty. But … seeing the beautiful cars and homes, and how people look just like the people back home, I realised that what TV says is not always right,” he said in an interview with The Times.
Melrose Arch Hotel’s guest relations manager, Gabrielle Abrahams, said the Kardashians and their friends kept a low profile during their three-day stay.
“Kim Kardashian was very private; she was not demanding and did not ask for anything out of the ordinary. She came down to breakfast and used room service as all guests do,” she said.
The group visited a feeding scheme in Soweto and Taboo Nightclub, in Sandton, and went on a game drive.
They were treated to a gala dinner at the Michelangelo by actress-socialite Lee-Anne Summers.
“I am at Lee-Anne Summers’ house for a dinner party! She has baby lion cubs!” Kardashian wrote on Twitter. Summers apparently hired the cubs for the occasion.
