Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

Just when you think you have a woman in check by divorcing her and writing a book about your life with her. She hits you where it hurts hard. There aint no better saying than this: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." That is exactly what Afrikkans singer Steve Hofmeyr got for cheating on his wife publicly then leaving her and to add salt to the wounds he wrote a book detailing his afffairs. Read This:
Hofmeyr froths as ex’s book steals the limelight

AFRIKAANS rock star Steve Hofmeyr is livid about a tell-all book, written by his soon-to-be ex-wife, in which she spills the beans on their 10-year marriage.

On his blog, the rocker said on Tuesday: “Damn, I am under siege from all sides,” and that one sentence from Natasha Sutherland’s book “out of three thousand” has been blown out of proportion.

Referring to Hofmeyr’s infidelities, Sutherland wrote in her book: “… this is when the punch in the stomach and the strange lipstick traces on your soulmate’s underpants become more acceptable.”

Hofmeyr said: “I fall over backwards” at this passage.

“Is this what it says? I SMS my wife and ask her if she means that I was ever violent towards her,” he blogs on SteveHofmeyr.co.za.

“No, she says. She doesn’t know what they are talking about. Well, that’s how I understand it and it is how thousands of others will read it.”

Hofmeyr goes on to say that Sutherland is unfazed by the media ruckus this has caused in the Afrikaans press because it is “all good publicity for her book”.

Sutherland, however, appears to have moved on with her life and has a new lover.

She writes about the mystery man, whom she reveals is a pilot, but will not divulge his name.

In her book, Bittersweet: Confessions of a Freshly Single, she reveals how she really felt being married to Hofmeyr — about his affairs and life after their marriage.

She wrote it after their split last year, following the news of Hofmeyr’s 10-year affair with Pretoria fitness instructor Janine van der Vyver, who claimed that Hofmeyr offered her a house and an engagement ring.

The former Egoli actress refers to Hofmeyr in her book as “Mr Y”.

“We were a bit of a mismatch but brilliant together in our own way… The chasm between us just became wider and wider until Mr Y became a red hot angry demon and I an aloof ice princess,” she wrote.

In another passage, she describes the lonely life she led when married to Hofmeyr and her loneliness after they subsequently split up.

“Yes, I do miss company and touch and a sounding board … and sex. But I would rather go through this right now and feel alone but alive than be back sleepwalking in a space where I was part of something but felt dead.” -The Times
